Give the kid a break. I am sure he is dirt-broke right now, with no scholarship money, no NFL contract, and no time to work an ordinary job. He's working with 3 or 4 coaches right now, some of whom may be charging him a contractual fee. He might even want to appear in New York for the Draft, although many have counseled him not to do this.
Do you remember the awesome footage of QB Matt Stafford showing up at Radio City Music Hall for the draft last year? It was a lucky and good thing his agent was there to greet him, because Matt couldn't pay for the taxi that brought him. With a few embarrassed gestures and a quiet word or two, Matt asked his agent to cover the taxi. The agent asked Matt how much money he had on him. Matt pulled out his wallet and showed $1.00; a thin buck. That was it. He had one George Washington between him and financial nudity.
Matt's agent was visibly shocked. He said "Today is the last day of the rest of your life when you will be broke." The agent stuck a $100 bill in Matt's shirt pocket and proceeded to take care of the taxi driver.
I remember the days of getting out of college and being dirt-broke. That is where the draft kids are. Not knowing whether Tim will be a 2nd or a 3rd round QB, it is rather unlikely that Tim's agent will be shoving a lot of $100 bills in Tim's pockets right now. He's going to have to do it himself. Since he is an extremely famous college football player, he can sign autographs for some cash. Hopefully, this will net him a few thousand bucks to tide him over for the next 45 or so days. Hopefully, Tim will have a short contract negotiation {with the Rams} and a decent signing bonus.
